Kellie Phipps, AIA, LEED AP

Kellie Phipps, AIA, is a licensed architect who studied architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, and did her graduate work in architecture and historic preservation at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Growing up in a modernist house designed by her architect father, and surrounded by the California landscape paintings of both her parents, Kellie has an affinity for design that is both classic and modern in equal measure.  She also believes in the connection between architecture and landscape, believing that they must work in harmony with one another.

After working for over 20 years as an architect for such notable firms as EHDD and Gensler in San Francisco, and Oerhlein and Associates in Washington D.C., Kellie launched her own firm in her native San Diego in 2013.  With a honed emphasis on integrating historic architecture with new construction, Kellie strives to create a dialog between the new and old maintaining an understanding that form and balance is timeless.
